The Society aims to improve and protect for the benefit of the public the towns, villages and countryside within our area of concern.
As the Society enjoys consultative status with the planning authorities, we monitor and when necessary oppose inappropriate applications for the development of land and buildings, and work to secure the best options for the public good.
|
We arrange three meetings a year for members, combining social gatherings with talks from appropriately qualified professionals on subjects relevant to the Society's aims.
The Society is a registered charity managed by an elected Chairman and a Committee of volunteers. |
